Flight Training Manual:

Helicopter

In Canada there exists the unique requirement for identical English/French aeronautics texts in order that instructors can teach from the same basic theory in either language. This booklet, available in either French or English, covers helicpter flight training in a complete lesson-by-lesson manner. Since it was designed to meet the minimal requirements for training in Canada, this is a a very sparse text. Subjects discussed include all standard required maneuvers, such as climbs, descents, turns, hovering, autorotation, plus advanced maneuvers such as flight in confined spaces and descending into your own downwash. Basic theory of rotorcraft flight is presented in a companion biligual series Study Guide: Helicopter Theory of Flight. English-speaking pilots who don't feel constrained to meet the Canadian bilingual curriculum requirements may want to consider the very popular New Zealand text Principles of Helicopter Flight.
