The FAA A&P Handbooks are the original
references for preparation for FAA certification as an A&P
Mechanic (USA), or as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Canada/UK).
Although the AC65 series books have been around for many
years, they still contain the core of the FAA approved basics of
aircraft repair technology. The AC43.13B text is a 1999
update of the original AC43.13 1A & 2A release. The four
books in the FAA series are:
- AC65-9A General (math, chemicals, electrics, hydraulics,
fittings)
- AC65-12A Powerplants (piston & turbine) (This
book)
- AC65-15A Airframe (wood, metal, fabric, and some plastics)
- AC43.13B Aircraft Inspection, Repairs and Alterations (1999
Edition)
The core technologies in this series have also been updated and
presented as alternative handbooks by ASA Publications, Jeppesen,
and McGraw-Hill Books. Each publisher has its own ideas about how
best to present and update the core FAA materials in the FAA
series. The other series are also included in this catalog. |
