Overcasters IFR Blinders

by ASA

* Technically known as a "view-limiting device", these things are essential for no-hassle IFR training. It's either a traditional IFR bleach-bottle hood, or foggles (which don't work when facing the sun), or some other contraption that attaches to your headset or gets tangled in your headset wires (we sell them all!). But this little device is so light and compact (it clips on to any model of shades), that you don't mind keeping it ready in your shirt pocket at all times. Or you can clip it into your Flight Guide or CAP chart booklet. Overcasters have been accepted by flight test examiners for years, so you don't have to struggle with some other awkward blinder for your flight test.
