There are two parts to this, the second video of
the ten-video series; the first part explains and illustrates
taxiing of aircraft. Both tail-draggers and tricycle gear aircraft
are shown. The correct use of power and brakes are discussed, and
the possibility of upset in windy conditions is illustrated.
In flight, the video shows the various aircraft attitudes and movements which the student pilot must learn. The student pilot is expected to understand all aircraft attitudes and movements, and be able to demonstrate them to the examiner. The basic required attitudes include nose-up, nose-down, banked attitudes. The movements about the three aircraft axes (rolling, yawing, & pitching movements) are explained. ATP's Flight Training Video Series, based on the Flight Training Manual, has been created by experienced flight instructors and airline pilots, and is especially useful for the primary phase of flight training, both for the Recreational Licence, and the Private Pilot licence. There are ten ½-hour videos in this series:
