Every member country in ICAO must have its Aeronautical
Information Manual. The AIM Canada contains
all the regulatory & standards information the pilots require
to navigate in Canadian airspace. Some trans-atlantic information
is provided, too, since Canada is responsible for North Atlantic
crossing traffic up to the half-way point.
All pilots are required to know AIM subjects in order to pass Canadian written exams, and all other pilots are required to know Canadian procedures while flying within Canadian airspace. Canada is a socialistic country, like France or England, so the AIM is only available from the government supply depot. |
