Written for both pilots and mechanics, this text
shows the details of most common constant-speed propeller units.
Props used in Cessna and Piper twins, Beechcraft King Air, Twin
Otter, Douglas DC-series, and Rockwell twins are covered, as well
as all the high-performance singles. This text leans more to
mechanical detail than to operational detail, and the matching
engines are not included (they are in the separate texts on
Aircraft Gas Turbine Engines and Aircraft Reciprocating Engines).
Canadian AME candidates for a Propeller Endorsement should use this text PLUS the Canadian Aviation Regulations Part V Subpart 35 (Aircraft Propellers) to prepare for the Transport Canada knowledge exams. |
