JAR Ref 010: Air Law

A sound knowledge of Air Law is fundamental for all pilots. This volume covers the origins of aviation law before covering the practical elements of the rules of the air, personnel licensing and the operational aspects of Air Law as they affect the Airline Transport Pilot. Air Law is often a daunting subject to many students*. It should not be a problem for candidates who already have an FAA ATPL. This volume is designed to be user-friendly yet, at the same time, ensuring that you are fully prepared for the JAR Air Law examination. A number of procedures are described in detail which takes you from the flight planning phase through the departure phase, radar procedures, holding procedures, and the approach phase of flight. You will also gain knowledge of aerodrome facilities, the specific requirements of the Search and Rescue Alerting Service, the notification and investigation of aircraft accidents, and acts of unlawful interference.

Trivia:

This volume is limted in scope to operational air law in JAR jurisdictions. It doesn't cover related legal topics such as aviation liability, negligence, contracts, or tort law. These topics are covered in separate texts available on this website.
