Designed by a unique partnership of Qantas,
Northwest Airlines, and Swissair technical designers, this is the
first commercially available Boeing 400 series flight and FMS
simulator for the PC user. Now in the Version 1.3 release, the
simulator is an implementation of the Boeing 747-400, (or "74/4").
Since many Boeing systems are common across several models, this
simulator is useful for any pilot wishing to learn about modern
Boeing systems. Precision Simulator 74/4 accurately
implements all Boeing 747-400 systems, and it's useful for
proficiency, familiarization, and instruction. PS 74/4 is
the only useful heavy aircraft simulator for the PC. It
features:
- Complete autopilot and flight director mode logic
- Complete simulation of the 747 Flight
Management Computer (FMC); HOLD, VNAV, FORECAST, OFFPATH DES,
FIX INFO, all INIT/REF pages, LEGS, RTE DATA, WINDS, ROUTE 1 &
2, DEP/ARR, PROGRESS, etc. All pages are fully
functional!
- Complete EFIS instrumentation
- Real-time simulations of all systems
(electrical, hydraulic,pneumatics,fuel management, powerplants,
flaps, etc). It features EICAS interface and all sub-panels.
- programmable TCAS & GPWS
- Complete control of malfunction scenarios
- Weather generator including microbursts and CBs
- Complete great-circle world flight environment. Fly anywhere in
the world!
- Comes complete with every VOR,NDB,TACAN, and DME in the
world
- 1500 world wide airports included, with
electronic navaid map and airport data viewer
- Co-pilot simulation
- 200 page manual included
- Digital Research 7.02 Operating System included on separate
CD
The 747-400 simulator will run on any Pentium PC with MS-DOS
compatible OS (Digital Research OS included), VGA monitor, and a
CD-ROM drive. SoundBlaster card gives realistic inflight dialog
with ATC and allows instructors to create sound and motion training
"videos". A mouse is required for system/menu selections, but
digital tablets can be used for system management. Only 512k free
memory required. It will work OK on Win95/98, UNIX/Linux with Intel
x86 emulator, but Windows NT/2000 & OS/2 won't play the sound
effects, and it's not USB compatible. Digital Research OS 7.02
included with package. There is a wide following throughout the
world on the internet for this package, and there's nearly always
qualified 747-400 pilots available for problem solving and
feedback. If you plug into the relevant news groups, you will find
huge amounts of user support to help you master this complex
aircraft. This is really an amazingly accurate and powerful
simulator. |
