The Raven UAV is a small electric airplane used by military ground units to observe the territory around their operations. It's managed by a laptop computer and flies from one set of co-ordinates to the next. In effect it flies from one mouse-clicked location on the laptop's map to the next mouse-click. It has an endurance of almost 10 hours. Cost: about $40,000 (laptop extra). |
