Dealer Returns Policy

All return requests must be supported with an invoice number. A credit card voucher alone is not sufficient to trace the transaction. Returns must be sent prepaid to the return address shown on the shipment. We do not accept collect shipments, nor shipments sent to another address such as a common carrier, bus company, or freight depot.

Overstocks of textbooks from McGraw-Hill, Thomson, Aviation Publishers, or ASA may be returned for credit for a 20% re-stocking charge at any time during their production life.

Overstocks of textbooks from Jeppesen may be returned only in accordance with Jeppesen's returns policy. Jeppesen, generally, accepts returns only within 30 days. This includes returns for defects. Jeppesen's returns policy matches their warranty period.

Textbooks are not exchangeable after they are out-of-print. We give you maximum discounts on textbooks (up to 50% in some cases) to allow you to save on your textbook purchases. Hence the re-stocking charge. If you manage your purchases, and minimize your over-stocks, you can save a great deal. Generally, permission is required to return textbooks, but permission is not given to return books at an unknown time or date sometime in the future.

PLEASE NOTE: Some textbooks are identified by TWO product identifying codes. One is the standard ISBN, but there may also be a VERSION number for books subject to continuous updates. For example, the Jeppesen Private Pilot Manual will carry the following ISBN:

ISBN 0-88487-238-6

It also carries the Jeppesen Product SKU as follows:
JS314500-007

The Jeppesen SKU number has the trailing group of three digits "007" which is the VERSION NUMBER. Thus, the ISBN and the basic SKU number are unchanged from one version to the next. However, the VERSION NUMBER ("007", in this example) changes as updates are made. You may return any textbook for credit or replacement, within the limits of the Jeppesen's returns policy, as long as the VERSION NUMBER is current. You cannot exchange one version for another version. We can help you with this task if you phone your Dealer Service Rep at 800-567-3221.

Except for defective merchandise, all products (including previous editions of textbooks) being returned must be in original mint condition, be free of customer applied labels, and must be in their original unopened manufacturer packaging. Sometimes we are required to obtain approvals from the publishers. Accidental shipping damage, shop wear, or price stickers? Not acceptable, so please inspect and pack carefully!

Aeronautical charts, unfortunately, are no longer exchangeable or returnable. Chart publishers are consistently complaining about excessive costs, and they all have decided to limit returns aggressively.

Computer software and directories are returnable for exchange or credit at any time in accordance with manufacturer limitations. If in doubt, please phone your Dealer Service Rep at 800-567-3221.

All non-clothing products are unconditionally guaranteed against defects for one year. If an item is defective, it will be replaced if it is still in production. If not, a refund or credit will be issued. Some products carry a manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty; these items will be replaced in accordance with the manufacturer's extended warranty which will be included in the product packaging.

Uniform clothing is repairable. Don't despair! Lost buttons are easily repairable and don't constitute a defect. A defect is a separated seam such as a collar seam, or a sleeve seam, or a defect in the fabric other than a rip or tear that occurs during use. Clothing items are guaranteed against defects for one month after purchase. Unopened shirts are exchangeable at any time, but the price difference may be charged.

Returns must be shipped PREPAID to either of the following locations; all documentation MUST be with the shipment!
