Do your own aircraft Ramp Checks! Transport Canada inspectors seem to be jumping out of the bushes all across Canada as part of their new campaign to intimidate aviators. Is this really a new campaign by Transport Canada to save money on enforcement? Or do they not have enough work to do back at the office? Some pilots live in constant fear of being ambushed by a T/C Inspector for an impromptu ramp check. They are never sure if they have the right documents with them to satisfy the CARs.
